Useful Resources

As Halfmoon CM’s primary goal is to inform and educate the public about sleeping and its relative issues, we decided to share some useful resources that anyone can benefit from. Since the Internet is a vast library of information, we were able to gather a good number of websites that focus mainly on sleep and sleeping problems.

Here are the useful resources we would like you to check out:

Sleep Foundation.org/The National Sleep Foundation

This is the premier go-to site for anything related to sleep. Its mission is “improving health and well-being through sleep education and advocacy.” It intends to raise the awareness level when it comes to sleep. At the same time, it acts as a guide and helpline for anyone who wants to gather information and updates on any issue or development related to sleep.

The American Sleep Apnea Association

Founded in 1990, the ASAA’s goal is to promote sleep apnea, as well as its possible treatments and prevention. Their website has various pages that are intended to help individuals learn and understand sleep apnea. There are also research information, options for diagnosis and treatment, and videos that anyone can access.

American Academy of Sleep Medicine

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine was established in 1975 as the Association of Sleep Disorders Centers. It works towards promoting sleep medicine education, research, and healthcare. The AASM website is where you will find the latest updates and information on sleep (in general) and sleep medicine.

Narcolepsy Network

Narcolepsy Network is for individuals suffering from narcolepsy, a type of sleep disorder. It contains information and updates that are geared towards empowering those afflicted with the disorder, so they can be properly educated and informed. It is also the goal of Narcolepsy Network to help make more people aware of the disorder.
